This type of marketing is very lucrative, and pure genius for influencers. Once you have that "it" factor, and people start noticing you, you are good as gold. Companies will pay influencers the big bucks to wear, eat, and advertise their products. According to the CBS article, influencers are paid upwards of $200,000 for advertising a product. I have seen this type of marketing before, where Jenelle Evans from Teen Mom was a spokesperson for various products. This is how she was making a living after being cut from MTV's Teen Mom. But in order to maintain a relationship with a company and sponsor their products for pay, you have to be a good person, with morals, and there can be no negativity associated with you.
