Week 1 - A day in the life

The websites I frequent most often are Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, and SNHU. However, I have many applications on my phone, like my financial apps, some gaming apps, and other important apps that I must use from time to time. I use Facebook to check up with friends and family or scroll Facebook when I am bored or have a moment to read interest-group posts. I am always checking my Gmail because I do not want to miss an important message. I am probably on Gmail more than anything else online. Twitter is not a priority, but I scroll from time to time to view the latest news or gossip. I will occasionally go on TikTok but it is not as often as I used to.

I am not up to date on all the "in" new apps that are around now. I admit, I jumped on the TikTok bandwagon a couple years ago but found that I was getting annoyed with most of the videos I was seeing. The past 6 months I have stopped going on there like how I was. Facebook has almost everyone there, so I guess that is why I am there the most out of any other social media platform. Most days I get on Facebook at least once.

I receive too many marketing emails from various companies. I honestly get overwhelmed with how full my inbox currently is, and it seems to be non-stop. The number of times some companies choose to send out promotional emails is absurd. Why do I need to see an email from you every 3-6 hours? I know you are there, so, when I am ready to buy, I will be back. I guess I allow these companies to continue to send me emails because I have either been with them for a long time, or I just love their brand so much I do not want to miss anything coming from them. The deep-discounted "sale" promotional emails definitely catch my attention, and they usually work. I will click on them so fast. These companies know it too. I guess this is why they are sending me emails every 3 hours. Most companies do this and spam you with email. They give you the option of unsubscribing or limiting the frequency you receive emails, yes. But sometimes it is either all or nothing, so you have to choose either daily, weekly or monthly. I continue to allow them to spam me with their mailings because I do not want to miss a new product, a special VIP discount, or another lame reason.
